MEDIUM: paper cut
 
My place as a Paper Cut artist has been established over the years with representations in both galleries and museums. Many of my designs incorporate a littoral iconography taken mostly from nature that reflects my coastal residency in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts. During the summer of 2009 I studied white-line woodcut printing with Bill Evaul in Provincetown, Massachusetts. White-line printing, or Provincetown Print, was created in 1915 in Provincetown by B.J. O. Nordfeldt. I have embraced this medium as a compliment to my paper cuts. I have also found this colorful medium a graceful way to interpret both New England as well as New Mexico of which I have been a frequent visitor for some 36 years.
