MEDIUM: Non-wearable fiber - flags, banners, wall hangings
 
My work plays with the interactions of light and wind with the fabric and design of the flag or banner. My banners and flags are made from sewn & printed fabric. The flags intended for exterior use are usually made from outdoor weight nylon because of its color fastness, strength and light weight. Banners for interior use are made from a variety of fabrics, some flame retardant, some translucent. I use pieced and appliqued sewing to fabricate many of the designs. Sometimes this is combined with screen printing and use of recycled printed fabrics.
