MEDIUM: Kiln-formed Glass and Metal.
 
Currently, I am working from a private studio in New Bedford, Massachusetts.  In my latest collection, I am attempting to compose a balance between the elements of glass and metal, focusing on repetitive patterns created in glass, paired with vintage inspired components out of brass and silver. Additive and subtractive processes are implemented, depending on the desired aesthetic of each object. I treat the glass as though it is a precious stone, carving through the layers to unveil a unique story from within.  I strive to create contemporary pieces of jewelry with an underlying classic theme.   As I am developing a body of work, I think about who might be wearing the jewelry right now, as well as the generations that that will be enjoying the pieces in the future.
