Recently featured in the national magazine American Art Collector maritime edition June 2011, Barbara is noted for her intrinsic talent to capture the sea in all its glory. She has a long history of classical training, formally and in studio, with a strong concentration in oil painting. Leger also has been trained through a master apprenticeship program.

Leger is an active member of Oil Painters of America and was most recently qualified for 2011 Best of American Artists publication (BOAA). Selected paintings from her 2011 collection can be enjoyed at premier galleries in New England, such as the Vanderbilt Gallery Nantucket and the Courtyard Gallery in Mystic, Connecticut
